Sports and physical education are an integral part of every school day. Our physical education programs are designed to provide students with the knowledge and ability needed to maintain active, healthy lifestyles. The programs are structured to develop skills, stamina and sportsmanship, and fit the needs of particular age groups.
From Pre-Foundation to Class 2, the focus is on building up individual skill like heightened physical stamina and better motor activities. The children of this age group participate in gymnastics, rope climbing and other muscle strengthening exercises. From Class 3 onward, the children get involved in more formal team sports like soccer, basketball and cricket. For classes 6 to 12, the school offers students an array of sports opportunities. Games promoted and played in the school are soccer, cricket, basket ball, hockey, badminton, tennis, table tennis, volley ball and softball.
Students are also trained in individual team, track and field events. Besides this physical education program, a Sports Academy is organised in the evenings and is open to interested students. Sports Clinics are also organised through tie-ups with professional sports organisations in different games like swimming, tennis, volleyball, cricket etc. leading to participation in more competitions outside the school. This provides greater exposure and interactions with students of other schools.
